Description
The Nortada is a completely rebuilt fiberglass vessel serving as a dive boat in the Galapagos Islands. The Nortada offers 7-night itineraries, including dives at Wolf and Darwin Islands for a maximum 12 divers.
The Nortada is not a luxury ship. Price and service are comparable to other mid-range 16-person ships in the Galapagos. The limited number of passengers on the Nortada encourages encounters with marine wildlife and improves diver supervision. This results in a safer, more personalized diving experience: a signature product unavailable on any other boat.
All departures are conducted with two dive guides diving from two different small boats. This allows for better diving and more chances of seeing marine wildlife. An increased supervision rate also makes diving safer by accommodating different levels of experience, air consumption and interests. The Nortada is an excellent option for organizing charters in small groups, allowing the agency to easily fill departures and offer guaranteed tailor-made departures all year round.
As with most cruises, the itinerary includes the western sites of the archipelago, the famous sites of Wolf and Darwin Islands further north, and also the Islands of Fernandina and Isabela further east. The itinerary also includes a stop on Santa Cruz Island, the most populous island in the archipelago, to observe giant tortoises and enjoy the atmosphere of the town of Puerto Ayora.
The Nortada offers diving cruises and adventure cruises (on demand).
The Nortada’s itinerary is from Friday to Friday.
