Description
Very early in the morning, you will leave the port towards the island of Bartolomé, this island with an emblematic pinnacle which is located northwest of Santa Cruz. We will have the opportunity to see one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Galapagos Islands while discovering the volcanic origins of the islands.
Arriving in Bartolomé, we will have a dry landing and we will begin the walk along a path that will take us to the top of the island, through its 395 steps that will end with a spectacular panoramic view of the island and its pinnacle.
During the walk we will observe small lava tubes that are the product of the last eruption and where endemic vegetation such as lava cacti and tiquilla plants grow. After the walk and having been impressed by the view from this point, we will enjoy a zodiac ride along the coast where, with a little luck, we will be able to spot the only tropical penguin and the second smallest in the world , the Galapagos penguin.
Sullivan Bay: The visit to Bartolomé is often mixed with the visit to Sullivan Bay. After our unforgettable visit to Bartolomé and after lunch on board with a little rest, we head to Sullivan Bay where we enjoy the marine wildlife of the Galapagos by snorkeling. Sullivan Bay is one of the most beautiful places in the Galapagos for snorkeling with its crystal clear waters!
These places are visited during daily excursions from the island of Santa Cruz aboard one of the following boats:
